Ron Brady Jr. - GUILTY
Despite his father’s efforts to help save him, Ron Brady Jr was found guilty today. The following was posted on kvbc.com:
Accomplice prosecuted in Titus murder case
36-year-old Nelson Ronald Brady, Jr. was found guilty of three counts of solicitation to commit murder for attempting to hire a hit man to kill three key witnesses in the Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan murder case.
Titus and Ryan are charged with killing Melissa James, their personal assistant in December 2005. Megan Pierson Foley and Jeremy Foley testified that Titus and Ryan discussed details of the murder with them, and Anthony Gross allegedly helped dispose of James’ body.
Brady reportedly met Titus while serving time in jail for another crime and approached inmate Deem Cassim about planning the hit on the witnesses. Cassim informed police about Brady’s plans and helped authorities to build a case against him.
Evidence against Brady included recorded jailhouse interviews and video footage of Brady discussing the hit with an undercover police detective.
Brady denied the allegations, stating that he only intended to discredit the reliability of the witnesses by implicating them in a drug sting and either pay them off or threaten them into not testifying.
After being arrested, police say Brady confessed to orchestrating the killings during a recorded interview, but Brady maintains he only told police about the hit to end the interview.
Brady faces two to 15 years in jail.

I have to believe, that in his cell, one quiet evening, when the lights went out, after he learned that Brady got caught, Craig Titus didn’t mutter, “fucking stupid idiot got caught”.
Because I can tell you, if someone would have succeeded in killing the witnesses, CT would have never plead guilty.

Peter, I do believe you are correct

Re; Dennis Bates - he who believes in “faith” - religion and god, is absurd.
I have nothing but disdain for people who moralize en masse quoting from the great work of fiction - the bible.

Bates,
You might wish to turn people onto God
in a way that isn’t so plagerized (sic).
Quoting the bible consistently turns people off..
That is not what you wish to do is it?
I’m sure you’re very intelligent, you’re own
words would be much more effective.

There’s a very good episode on Pro Bodybuilding Weekly on www.bodybuilding.com .. Larry Pepe interviews Leo Flangas..A high profile Ciminal Defense Lawyer..He’s defended a variety of cases in his career, and has very accurate information on sentencing and variables that might happen to Craig and Kelly. Very good interview with someone that knows the Vegas law scene, and has insite on Judge Glass.

God’s Word says…
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
- 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
- 2 Timothy 4:2-4 (KJV)

God’s Word says…
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. - John 3:19,20 (KJV)

Bates is obviously not able to speak in normal
tones. He obviously is more concerned with his
own self than anyone else. Thats sad.

Kelly is looking at 3 charges that hold up to 2 to 14 years. Also, by her intering the Alford plee, that does not look good to Judge Glass. Basically, if she steps out of line with Judge Glass, she could run those sentences consecutive and not concurrent. Or- she could throw the book at both of them, and put them in jail for life!
I think Kelly and Craigy are going to get the maximum ! Because I know CT and his courtroom antics have been sub-par everytime he’s been in court. But- it all depends what kind of deal they struck with Daskas. If Kelly gets off free…I’ll be shocked as well as the James family!

Phil,
I hope you are right and the Judge hammers them. I would like to think that CT’s arogance in court coupled with his taking a plea but denying his guilt would be enough to rub the Judge the wrong way. Surely that will impact what sentence she hands down.
I am not sure how to read what is going to happen to Kelly. Personally I would not let her off that easy at all. She was directly involved. But with prison overcrowding who knows what she will get since she is getting off on the murder charges.
I know someone here from the gym that got drunk, killed a man (DUI) and left the scene. Then he lied to the police and said someone stole his truck….. that he wasn’t driving. He confessed later that same day and was arrested. Anyway, he took a plea of 10 or 15 to life (approx). At sentencing he was given 11 years and will be out in 5 years. We all thought he was crazy for accepting that plea but I guess his lawyer knew what he was doing because the judge gave him even less time than the plea deal.
After watching that unfold, I would not be supprised either way with what sentences those two idiots get. The legal system is hard to predict and often doesn’t had down sentences that make alot of sense to me.

They murdered a woman. The Judge will punish them for that murder. My guess is that they will both receive the maximum. Judges usually give the maximum when they sense that there is no remorse or they are in denial.
CT dug his own grave when he said he didn’t commit the murder even though he pleaded guilty. Judge Glass will translate that to mean that he denies personal responsibility, there is no remorse and therefore is a bad candidate for early release.
He’ll get 25 years. Kelly the max.
My point of view only.

So will they do time in NV? or will they be shipped off to another state? I am not sure how that all works.
regarding the sentence of CT I think that his criminal history will all weigh in on the Judge’s decision with regard to length of time he serves. his previous conviction coupled with is shitty attitude and denial of the offense I personally believe his is going away for a LONG time.
June 11th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
you could very well be right OTFC. he may get 40 years. how long is 40 years. it was the year RFK got shot. it’s a lifetime. it’s life in prison, truly.

OTCF,
They will be in a State Pen. I think your right, Craig’ priors will hender him with Judge Glass, But she’s a fair judge and might not use “the steroid charge” against him, being that he’s already screwed himeself with evidence, as well as the plea he intered admitting that he he’s guilty.I think Craig is going to try and talk to Maura James, and hope that the jury is simpithetic to his taking on the stand!
I think Craig and Kelly will do some time- but not as much as they should! With all the MFH and such, I think the DA will give them a gift as far as time goes. Who knows???
Peace

Either way you look at it Craig’s going away for a very long time. Being middle-aged already he will no doubt be reduced to a harmless bitter little old man by the time he makes parole. Maybe we’ll even see his parole hearing on the Discovery Channel one day.
Relax Craig, you won’t go without attention. Like Charles Manson said upon his conviction, “There’s plenty of sex in prison.”
June 16th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
BS
Yeah, Craig’s going to do along time! His bodybuilding days are gone..which probably is the best thing for him..when you take as much Gear as C has, your going to need to be institutionalized.. coming off ..is my guess?
Great post,BS.. Dude that made me LMAO!
Peace

One of the most important things a Judge weighs before sentencing is thus: “is the defendant likely to re-offend”.
So with that said, knowing CT as you do, what would you say? Likely? Or unlikely?
I say *likely*. And so, I say CT will not do a day less than 25 years. That’s not taking into consideration that he burned a corpse. That requires a special kind of evil.
Thoughts?
