Application to appoint psychologist for Craig Titus

Marc A. Saggese, ESQ. (Craig Titus’ lawyer) files an ex parte application to appoint Dr. David Schmidt as an independent psychologist and for fees in excess of the statutory maximum.

The document reads:
Comes now, Defendant Craig Titus, by and through his attorney of record attorney, Marc. A. Saggese, ESQ., and requests this Honorable Court issue an Order, pursuant to N.R.S. 7.135, appointing Dr. David Schmidt as an independent psychologist in the above-captioned case. Defendant also request that an Order authorizing payment in excess of the statutory maximum not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars($5,00.00) unless prior Court approval be granted.

    Okay, is it just me, or is the request for a psychologist coming about 2.5 years too late here?

    It sounds like the defense has
    cold feet… Maybe they think
    Titus is so nuts that he can’t stand trial.
    Maybe this is a way to counter his
    outbursts that he is going to have in court.
