Craig Titus challenging charge in Las Vegas slaying
LAS VEGAS - A lawyer for jailed pro bodybuilder Craig Titus wants a judge to throw out a grand jury indictment charging Titus and his wife with kidnapping and murdering their personal assistant in December.
A Clark County District Court judge is due July 13th to hear defense lawyer Richard Schonfeld’s claim that prosecutors shouldn’t have been allowed to give the grand jury police statements from both Titus and his wife — Kelly Ryan.
The lawyer also maintains that evidence is insufficient to charge Titus and Ryan with kidnapping and conspiring to kill 28-year-old Melissa James.
The grand jury indicted the 41-year-old Titus and 33-year-old Ryan in March — after prosecutors presented evidence that James was drugged, bound, shocked with a stun gun and strangled before her body was set ablaze in Ryan’s abandoned red Jaguar sedan.
Titus and Ryan have pleaded not guilty and are being held at Clark County jail pending trial in January.

This is just posturing by the defense. They have nothing else, so they always claim insufficient evidence, or file motions to suppress, or go for an outright dismissal, blah, blah, blah…
Meanwhile, C and K sit shrinking in the pokey, becoming just two more perps in the Clark County jail…

Very much agreed darkstar. It’s hilarious what these losers get paid to come up with. It absolutely amazes me the ignorance that they reak of. So many witnesses came up with the same story that happened that day, they must have all sat in a room doing drugs to come up with this one. Give me a break Craig! You will not beat the system…you might think you are that big, but you aren’t! You’re a loser bodybuilder!!!

Another fine example of “Big Business” (the best Titus nickname ever) at his favorite tactics…
The foul smell never eminated from Melissa’s victimized body in the garage, it came from the direction of “BB” himself. Megan and her fiance were just too high themselves to smell it.
BTW, it’s laughable to hear MPF testify that she never did drugs with Kelly!~ Bwahahahaha. What a joke! How else would you stay and watch movies with a couple who just admitted to killing Melissa by choking her out?? Seems like a bit of a mood killer for the evening. Christ! People never cease to amaze me.
