At a time when the popularity of pro bodybuilding seems to be at an all time low, Craig Titus is doing his part in bringing one of the world’s greatest sports to its knees. Always one of bodybuilding’s “bad boys”, he will go down in the history of the sport as one athlete who did the largest amount of damage to pro bodybuilding’s reputation, no matter what the outcome of this investigation. What a horror, that a life has been lost in Craig and Kelly’s self-absorbed lifestyle. And what a waste, that 2 awesome athletes had to fall so far.

To say that one person or athlete has damaged the sport so badly that it will never be the same is to say at the least very close minded. Shall we go just one short year back and look into all the drug use wether it be drug dealing or trafficing that has come to light just in the courts let alone what we all haven’t seen in the court room.
The bodybuilding industry wether one likes it or not is completely revolved in and around drug use for obvious reasons.
Why is that bodybuilding has never really hit mainstream as like other professional sports? Because it will always be in the shadows of the drug use that follows this sport and not just by the pro’s but the fans and the amatures.
Until the “higher up’s” let’s say make efforts to clean the sports image up then this sport is destin for failure and all that is involved.
Craig and his mouth as we all know has always been on the front pages but let’s not ignore some of the positive things that he and his wife have done for sport and I don’t have the time to go through them here on this message but if you have been following bodybuilding then you are aware of those things.
Again to say that one athlete did all or most of the damage in the sport is very nieve to say the least.
I can name countless names that have been introuble with the law and that have served prison time so why do you think that the weight should be put onto one athlete and he hasn’t even been convicted, yet!
Bodybuilding is a fun sport that anyone can get involved in on some level but for it to be a great sport then there needs to be tremendous change starting within.

I respectfully disagree. Many athletes HAVE contributed to pro bodybuilding’s rep, but Craig Titus has certainly brought more bad publicity than any other ONE athlete in recent years.
I do however agree that bodybuilding needs tremendous change starting within.
I guess I’m mainly disappointed that one man who reached the higher limits of the sport has lived his life in a way not compatible with sportmanship. I watched CT get his pro card and at the time, I thought there was no more deserving man there, both because of his physique and his attitude at the time. There are so many awesome, deserving bodybuilders who have done great good for the sport’s reputation. Ronnie Coleman for one, Laura Creavalle, Lenda Murray, Frank Zane, Nasser el Sonbaty, and a lot of the up and coming athletes. I think to deserve the status of PRO body builder should require maintaining a good image. For those athletes who don’t care about the image of the IFBB, find another place to display your wares. And for the Craig Titus’s of the world—you stand on hallowed ground. Live up to that. I feel the same way about Kelly Ryan.
